Arizona Republic

I'm hoping someone with access to Highbeam or some other subscription news aggregator can help me improve Lion Guard by finding a specific source:

I'm at a loss. Not only can I not find the source, but I can't even find any evidence online that it ever existed. Can someone please find the source and confirm that it actually exists? • Dr. Fleischman, I have searched Newspapers.com archive for Arizona Republic. This is probably a made-up citation. Queries like Lion Trump, Trump Militia, McDermott Trump or Lion Guard yield no meaningful result for the whole of June 2016. @DrFleischman: I checked Highbeam, nothing there either. I also checked newspapers.com as well but there is no article that mentions "trump" and "brownshirts" in the Arizona Republic, ever (only one opinion piece from Dec 2016 that has nothing to do with the article in question). Have you asked User:OberRanks yet? It seems he's the one who added that reference in the article, and he's still on Wikipedia, so maybe he can help you. I haven't asked OberRanks about this particular source yet, though I was intending to if we couldn't find it here. OberRanks and I have had our share of friction over these very sorts of issues lately, and I didn't want to add fuel to the fire unnecessarily. Of course I'd be appreciative if they could substantiate the citation. The page Talk:Lion Guard is a pretty good record of Fleischman's concerns for this article. The "friction" is pretty much one sided as I've answered every question given about the sources for this article and where they came from. I'm perfectly fine with removing dubious or unsourced material, but have left this article now as there is a strong indication of some conflict of interest issues developing. The best thing would be for other editors to start adding additional material. I've gone about as far as I can with the primary source material, most of which was given to me by another source (the Maryland Republican Party). I also removed the page from watchlist as its not worth the effort to defend every source listed. -O.R.^Comms 16:52, 29 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I checked Westlaw, which has the Arizona Republic in full text from this period, and there was nothing. There were a handful of articles covering the Lion Guard from other publications, but nothing with this title. It may be time to mark this request Resolved and move on. @DrFleischman: I came to the conclusion that it's a bogus source after checking ProQuest (which claims to have the full text of the The Arizona Republic, plus its online edition, plus its blogs) and searching ProQuest, Factiva, Lexis/Nexis, and NewsBank for any combination of the above keywords in any publication on any date, without finding a good match. As OberRanks is not prepared to defend the source, I think it's safe to remove it and any content sourced to it. Assistance verifying Financial Times reference

Today's "Did you Know?" section on the front page states that "the Border Police of Georgia have continued to help enforce Georgian sovereignty over Abkhazia and South Ossetia since the end of the Russo-Georgian War".

This statement seems potentially contentious because Abkhazia and South Ossetia have claimed independence from Georgia and are recognized as independent states by a handful of other countries (most notably Russia). It is also unclear what exactly is meant by "help enforce Georgian sovereignty".

Looking at the linked article, Border Police of Georgia, it turned out that the part of claim pertaining to South Ossetia had a reference that did not support the claim so I removed it. (In fact the cited source was a news article about an incident where South Ossetians removed a Georgian flag from disputed territory claimed by South Ossetia, and did not mention the Georgian border police at all.)

The fact that the first reference was invalid calls into question the second reference in this sentence. However, the second reference is behind a paywall so I am not able to access it.

Can someone check whether the reference below supports the claim that "the Border Police of Georgia have continued to help enforce Georgian sovereignty over Abkhazia [...] since the end of the Russo-Georgian War"?

It would also be helpful to make the claim more specific by describing what actions the border police have done in the Abkhazian area to enforce Georgian sovereignty claims.

The article does support the assertion. Relevant passages: "Abkhazia, the breakaway region of Georgia, threatened to use force to protect its seaborne trade on Thursday after Georgian coastguards arrested a vessel bound for Sukhumi, Abkhazia’s seaside capital, in the second case of its kind this week. . . . Georgian coastguards arrested a ship carrying scrap metal from Abkhazia to Turkey on Thursday, the fourth such seizure this year. The vessel, operating under a Cambodian flag and manned by a Syrian crew, was bound for Turkey, the Georgian border police said. Earlier this week Georgian coastguards diverted a Turkish fuel tanker approaching Abkhazia to Georgia’s port of Poti and arrested the captain." Times of Karachi was a short-lived English language paper and there are enough notable English papers who certainly will write something whenever something notable thing happens. Book chapter if possible

Any chance of the chaptre "The Lancastrian Faction And The Wonderful Parliament" by M.V. Clarke (ed. by L.S. Sutherland and M. McKisack) in her Forteenth Century Studies (Oxford, 1937)- no ISBN (too early), OCLC 70331181; pp 36-52. It's for the article Wonderful Parliament (as you will see, I've left my mark upon it) which is not only unsourced but atm is crappilly rather pointless. Not for long, Cato! Hello, Legitimate historical/scholarly sources on Raghavendra Tirtha is scant. This article would significantly improve the Raghavendra Tirtha article. @Pbsouthwood: sent index. Ch 6 is 19 pages. I'm leery of copying that on top of the 15 pages of chapters 1 & 2 because the entire meat of the book is only 79 pages, the rest being taken up with various forwards, introductions, a glossary, reference materials, etc. Also the nature of the chapter puts it far from the ideal, scholarly, source. Worldbruce, Please don't go beyond your comfort zone. Maier is one of the more useful sources on the topic, as it is well known, and a landmark of sorts, you could say he opened the closet. Most of the people in the list you sent appear to be well known in recreational and scientific diving. I guess at least half would qualify for a Wikipedia article, but I can live without chapter 6, interesting as it may turn out to be. We can call this resolved with thanks.
