Vegeta's Height

Throughout the series Vegeta's height hasn't stayed consistant. Here's what I noticed. In the beginning he was just taller than Krillin. In the Freeza Arc he was up to Son Goku's chest. In the Android/Cell Arcs He was up to Goku's shoulder. And Finally during the Tournament/Majin Boo Arcs he was the same height as Goku. Either Goku shrank or this dudes been takin' steroids.--suit-n-tie 04:24, 16 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Steriods has nothing to do with height. Son of Kong

Oh yeah. Well he's still the amazing growing man.--suit-n-tie 04:44, 5 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

His age

Toriyama stated in a dragon box segment " vegeta was 29 when he met son goku "being four years older than goku who he said was 24

Don't you mean FIVE years older?!--suit-n-tie 03:04, 7 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Goku was 25 when he first met Vegeta, not 24. Son of Kong

There we go. That sounds correct.--Suit-n-tie 01:58, 13 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Vegeta is seven years older then Goku. It is stated in the official Daizenshuu. 29 was a Dub error, Vegeta was 32 when he first came to Earth.

Note on "Super Vegeta"

I changed this once and it was taken out, so I'll explain again. The first time Vegeta calls himself by that nickname is when he uses the Big Bang Attack on #19. The time with Cell was the second time he called himself that. In the anime dub they changed the line entirely when he finished off 19 ("Eat this! This is Super Vegeta's Bing Bang Attack" to "Here it comes! A little going away present for you!"), but it isn't like anyone suggests he wasn't really using the Big Bang there either. Onikage725

Just note that he says it first when fighting #19 only in the jap version, as not to confuse any american/FUNimation fan readers. I remember when I came here for the first time. I didn't even know a jap DB exsisted.--KojiDude (viva la BAM!) 20:53, 26 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Are you sure that line is only in the Japanese version, and not in any of the other dubs? Also, please do not use the term "jap". It's a derogatory word for the Japanese that came about during World War II. Thanks.

It is? Woah... sorry about that Dai. I'll try not to use it anymore.--KojiDude (viva la BAM!) 21:13, 26 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
I'd have to thumb through the volume (I could on Thursday) as I don't have it personally, but I'm pretty sure they use the line in the US manga, and it's on the dual-language DVDs (the second subtitle track that goes with the Japanese version). And I really think that the purpose of the article should be to inform those not in the know, not be familiar to what the "Toonami" crowd already remembers. Onikage725
It's in volume 13, I already thumbed through it Onikage725, and Yes, Vegeta does say it is the "Super Vegeta Big Bang attack" (Volume 13, page 107), but he's only calling himself that because he is now a Super Saiyan. He doesn't say, I am Super Vegeta until Volume 16, When he's figthing Cell while at Super Saiyan grade 2. I can't find my copy right now, but it is in Volume 16. Majinvegeta

Vegeta Broguht Back To Life

I just wanted to point out that after Frieza kills Vegeta he is wished back to life. The chronology jumps from Vegeta's death to the beginning of the next saga. The unfamiliar might wonder how he was killed and was meeting trunks a year later. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 199.126.208.247 (talkcontribs) .

Length

This article is quite long. Perhaps too long. What shall be done? Paul Haymon 08:51, 10 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Vegeta's Aura

I was just wondering, why is Vegeta's aura purple when he first fights Goku, but yellow in every other battle?

If you look closely, each fighters' ki color is different. People who are pure or mostly pure have white aura's and people who are not pure have tainted auras (blue, red, or purple). But otherwise, the switch in energy color can probably be added to the endless void of plotholes and inconsistancies created by Toei, just like their infamous Super Saiyan aura inconsitancies (e.g: Lightning sparks being added where they shouldn't be, ect.) Toei likes to change colors and even in Bio-Broly, Krillin for a split second has a Super Saiyan aura. Krillin isn't even a Saiyan! Majinvegeta

Change from Japanese Names?

Although people are firmly stating that English names should be used in English Articles, I think the Vegeta article (or any other Dragonball Article) should display the original names out of respect for the original Japanese format as well as the English names. This can also be done so we don't confuse readers who are not familiar with Dragonball. Majinvegeta

I don't understand what you're trying to say. Is it that you want to rename all the Dragon Ball articles to the Japanese names? It's the English Wikipedia. We are using official names from the anime, English and Japanese. Including the manga.--SUIT42 06:32, 22 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Vegeta during Mirai Trunks's Futrue

I wanna say that other than in the manga, that during the Future Trunks's timeline that it is shown in the anime OVA and the flashback during the Cell Saga that Vegeta had become a Super Saiyan. The question is was Trunks conceived before or after he became one during that timeline? Even though he was motivated to surpass Goku he didn't have the push of motivation that Vegeta in the Real Timeline had with the early warning of the Androids. With that Mirai Vegeta could have gotten his SS power later in his timeline than the Real Vegeta (i am using Real as the actual timeine Vegeta)did. Because of the knowledge they got from Trunks, Real Vegeta pushed himself futher and fast to train and surpass Goku possiblily pushing himself to SS early. With that it can be said that Mirai Vegeta could have conceived Trunks with Bulma before he got his SS, if the conception threoy is right as it is show with Son Goten and Real Trunks, then that could be the reason Mirai Trunks had to work to become SS while Real Trunks with Son Goten seems to come naturally. Wikipedia is not a forum, and that's all probably OR and it's not allowed.--SUIT42 05:09, 10 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
I agree with SUIT. But to debate: it is impossible to tell if Trunks was concieved before or after Vegeta had become a Super Saiyan, but judging by the "fan" theory of the relationship between offspring Super Saiyan ability, and time of conception, I do believe that Vegeta (Present Timeline) didn't only train to beat Goku, but to defeat the threat that only Goku was thought to have the ability to handle in order to prove himself better. But then again, I don't think it would've made a difference in Trunks's ability, Mirai Trunks didn't even train that hard to become one, the only reason why he was older at the first Transformation was because he hadn't started training until he was into his teens.
