Shardul class- Large Landing Ship Tank

Three Large Landing ship Tanks are under construction at Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd for the Indian Navy which is expected to be commissioned in 2006. Shardul will have an indigenous content of over 90 per cent with state-of-the-art equipment.

  • Complement: 11 main battle tanks, 10 army vehicles and 500 troops excluding ship crew
