BDF
Some information on how BDF files are /used/ might be helpful.
I am thinking of their use in standard X windows servers on Linux and the utilities bdfedit and bdftopcf. Also there was a utility for converting BDF files to windows FON files called bdftofon distributed by an organization called Starnet which later "went commercial" (see <http://cg.scs.carleton.ca/~luc/xsoftware.html>). Probably someone could say something about fonts available in BDF format and why that format was used.
I'm sorry I have nothing more to offer than these suggestions. I know almost nothing about the subject --- this list of topics is basically what a Google search brings up. Thank you for your efforts editing this article so far. I hope it becomes even more useful in the future!
Jesus Christ, is there any way to eliminate the "parchment" effect? It makes this unreadable.
I cannot find anything in the source that would be causing this and I've never seen anything like this. --Petzl (talk) 09:11, 25 January 2019 (UTC)
