Calsicol messed up when he replied to a comment on Merchbow's talk page, and we see Merchbow amend his signature here [1]. A number of double votes at Wikipedia:Categories for deletion/Log/2006 November 4 have subsequently been stricken out. Both accounts have been around for some time (June 2005 for Calsicol and Jan 2006 for Merchbow) but both have a large amount of edits categorising articles. Neither has edited since the sock puppet tag was added their user pages based on the talk page diff. Tim! 19:08, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  Declined Sounds to me like this one is pretty clear, and barring some issue rising from the unspecified deletion discussions, I don't really see where a checkuser is necessary. If there are special circumstances that require checkuser, please cite them, but barring that, I don't see any reason to go to the trouble of checking a pretty obvious case.
