Modifiche recenti

• Il pulsante Salva la pagina ora porta la scritta Pubblica la pagina o Pubblica le modifiche sulla maggior parte delle Wikipedia. La modifica è stata fatta per rendere più evidente che le modifiche cambiano la pagina immediatamente. Pubblica la pagina è quando viene salvata una nuova pagina e Pubblica le modifiche quando si modifica una pagina esistente. [1]
• La categoria di servizio Categoria:Pagine con template che richiamano sé stessi viene ora aggiunta quando viene trovato un loop in un template. Un loop è per esempio quando un template tenta di usare un secondo template che usa il primo template. [2]
• Wikipedia in lingua inglese ora utilizza i cookie per i blocchi. La funzione verrà implementata in futuro in altre wiki. Questa è un'estensione che blocca automaticamente il sistema quando un utente viene bloccato, in modo che ad una nuova visita del sito il cookie il cookie verrà salvato. Questo significa che anche se l'utente cambia account e a un nuovo indirizzo IP il cookie lo bloccherà. [3]

Problemi

• Le descrizioni, gli alias e le etichette di Wikidata che utilizzavano alcuni caratteri, non potevano essere salvati. Il problema è stato risolto. [4]

Modifiche di questa settimana

•   La nuova versione di MediaWiki è attiva sulle wiki di prova e su MediaWiki.org dal 4 aprile. Sarà disponibile dal 5 aprile sulle wiki non-Wikipedia e su alcune Wikipedia. Lo sarà su tutte le Wikipedia dal 6 aprile (calendario).

•   Tidy verrà rimpiazzato da un algoritmo di parsing HTML5. Un uso scorretto del codice HTML nel wikitesto causerà problemi in alcune wiki. Ora è disponibile l'estensione ParserMigration su tutte le wiki che può essere usato per aiutare a pulire il wikitesto. Sono disponibili maggiori informazioni su come usare l'estensione. [6]

• I Nuovi filtri per le Modifiche recenti sono disponibili come funzioni beta sulla maggior parte delle wiki. Puoi abilitarli nelle tue preferenze. Le wiki rimanenti riceveranno i nuovi filtri a partire dal 9 maggio. [16]
• Quando amministratori, burocrati e stewart inseriscono un utente in un gruppo utente definito potranno vedere una data di scadenza. I gruppi utenti sono, ad esempio "amministratori" o "bot". Questi significa che è possibile garantire dei diritti per un tempo limitato. Questo funzionamento è simile a quello dei blocchi e delle protezioni di pagina. Problemi

• Alcuni utenti hanno avuto problemi con gli Osservati speciali. Gli sviluppatori sono al lavoro sul problema. Fino a che non viene corretto, gli utenti possono provare alcune soluzioni che hanno aiutato altri utenti. Si può disattivare Nascondi gli inserimenti/rimozioni nelle categorie osservate nelle preferenze degli Osservati speciali o disattivare Mostra tutte le modifiche agli osservati speciali, non solo l'ultima. Puoi eliminare categorie problematiche da Special:EditWatchlist/raw. [26]
• C'è stato un problema con l'editor visuale per molti giorni. Non era possibile salvare le modifiche che richiedevano la compilazione di un CAPTCHA, per esempio quando in nuovo utente aggiunge un link esterno nelle note. Il problema è stato corretto il 2 maggio. [27]

Cambiamenti futuri

• Sarà possibile ricevere una notifica quando una voce che hai creato viene collegata da un elemento Wikidata. La modifica arriverà su Wikivoyage il 9 maggio. Se non ci sono problemi arriverà sulla maggior parte delle Wikipedia il 30 maggio. Verrà implementata in altri progetti e nelle wikipedia in inglese, francese e tedesco in estate. Sarà una funzionalità da dover abilitare per gli utenti già registrati e da disabilitare per i nuovi utenti. [29][30]
•   Il markup che somiglia a una variante linguistica potrebbe dover essere corretto. Se -{ è usato in trasclusioni o indirizzi web deve essere escaped correttamente. Puoi usare -<nowiki/>{ per le trasclusini e %2D{ negli indirizzi web. Una trasclusione può funzionare per esempio quando si usa -{ in un template: {{1x| sad :-{ face }}. Questa modifica è necessaria a causa di alcune correzioni al preprocessor e ha effetto su tutte le wiki. [31][32]

Recent changes

• You can now use ISBNs to automatically generate citations in the visual editor. This works on wikis that have enabled Citoid. [33]
• The Two Column Edit Conflict View is available as a beta feature on all wikis. It is a new interface for the edit conflict resolution page. [34]

Problems

• The mediawiki.util library does not load automatically any more. Your Special:MyPage/common.js may use it. If you have technical problems that started a couple of weeks ago you can try adding mw.loader.using( 'mediawiki.util' ).done(function(){ as the first line in the file and }); as a last one. Tech News wrote about this in the 2017/18 issue. [35]

Changes this week

• The RevisionSlider extension will be a default feature on all wikis. RevisionSlider is an easier way to move between changes in the page history. It has been a default feature on German, Arabic and Hebrew Wikipedia and a beta feature on all wikis. You will be able to turn it off in your preferences. [36]
• There is no new MediaWiki version this week.

Future changes

• Administrators will soon be able to search through deleted pages. [37][38]
•   Markup that looks like code for language variants might need to be fixed. Tech News wrote about this last week. If -{ is used in transclusions or web addresses it has to be escaped appropriately. You can use -<nowiki/>{ for transclusions and %2D{ in web addresses. This is because of some code fixes to the preprocessor and affects all wikis. You can now see the full list of wikis with this problem and help fix them to avoid that things break later this month. You might find false positives. You can read more about what to fix. [39][40]

Older unreported changes

• Your Meta user page is shown on all wikis where you don't have a local user page. You can now add the magic word __NOGLOBAL__ to your Meta user page to stop this. [41][42]
