Two rounds of qualifying took place between 18 and 21 December 2018 at the Barnsley Metrodome in Barnsley, England.[1]
Judd Trump made the fourth maximum break of his career in the third frame of his 5–0 win over Lukas Kleckers in the second qualifying round.[2]
Mark Williams was the defending champion, but he lost 5–0 to Kyren Wilson in the quarter-finals.[3]
Kyren Wilson went on to win the event, thereby capturing his third professional ranking title, with a 9–7 win against David Gilbert in the final.
