Category:Theosophy portal

Nominator's rationale: Only two pages including the one matching tne category name Legacypac (talk) 22:25, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Wait -- The portal is nominated at Miscellany for deletion. This looks like a defunct WP project. It the other deletion request is successful, we will be left with next to nothing in the category. If so, the outcome ought to be delete, but doing anything at this point is premature. It looks as if the other deletion nomination is incomplete: attention please. Peterkingiron (talk) 16:42, 7 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what you mean. There are a few more subpages of the Portal not in the category. There is no Wikiproject Legacypac (talk) 18:09, 7 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Criminal comedy films

Nominator's rationale: The standard name for this genre of film is "crime comedy", not "criminal comedy". On a Google search, "crime comedy" actually brings up discussion and analysis of crime-themed comedy as a film genre, while "criminal comedy" only brings up Wikipedia content and things that have "Criminal Comedy" as their actual title, not any sources that analyze it as a term for a film genre. By comparison, as well, the sibling category for crime-related drama films is at "crime drama", not "criminal drama". One important distinction here is that crime comedies are not always about the criminals per se — sometimes they're about the crime victims or witnesses, other innocent people who get caught up in a crime by accident, and/or the police officers or private detectives bumbling to solve the crime, which is why "crime comedy" and "criminal comedy" are not synonyms. There appears to have been an attempt in the past to speedy-rename the parent category, which failed most likely because none of the subcategories were batched with it. Pasvalys

Nominator's rationale: merge per WP:SMALLCAT, only one article in the nominated categories and only few articles in the parent category. Pasvalys (7.500 people) is a city in Lithuania. Marcocapelle (talk) 09:16, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Puna'auia

Nominator's rationale: merge per WP:SMALLCAT, only one article in the nominated categories and only few articles in the parent category. Puna'auia (28.000 people) is a commune of French Polynesia. Marcocapelle (talk) 09:16, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Shepetivka

Nominator's rationale: merge per WP:SMALLCAT, only one article and one subcategory each in the nominated categories and only few articles in the parent category. Shepetivka (43.000 people) is a town in Ukraine. Marcocapelle (talk) 09:16, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Šilutė

Nominator's rationale: merge per WP:SMALLCAT, only one article and two articles in the nominated categories and only few articles in the parent category. Šilutė (17.000 people) is a city in Lithuania. Marcocapelle (talk) 09:17, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:NrhpBot articles for review

Nominator's rationale: Used by a bot that hasn't run in over 11 years and whose operator hasn't edited in over 10, no longer needed DannyS712 (talk) 05:29, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Assessed Not Suitable

Nominator's rationale: this category is now redundant and unused. It was an AFC tool but even the new category will empty out soon as we buit the function into the AFCH script. Legacypac (talk) 03:54, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:American Hockey League Hall of Fame members

Nominator's rationale: Per WP:OCAWARD (WP:NONDEFINING)
Despite it's name, the American Hockey League is in both Canada and the United States and serves as the NHL's minor league. The AHL Hall of Fame was founded in 2006 and is online only so far. Clicking through the articles, some mention the awared in passing but most don't mention it at all. These hockey players are generally known for their time with the NHL teams rather than the time they spent in the AHL so this award doesn't seem defining. The contents of the category are already listified here in the main article. - RevelationDirect (talk) 01:28, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Daesung

Nominator's rationale: Per WP:OCEPON, there is not a sufficient amount of articles directly related to Daesung to merit an eponymous category. xplicit 00:30, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
