Blockstack is an open-source decentralized computing platform.[1] Blockstack software libraries enable developers to build decentralized applications, which have no single point of failure or control.[2] Blockstack provides decentralized protocols for authentication, data storage, and software distribution.[3][4]
Concerns around internet privacy, security, and data breaches brought attention to Blockstack.[5] Software developers have used Blockstack to build decentralized alternatives to popular services.[6][7][8]
