Barnstars

The Minor Barnstar
I, Chrislk02 award you this minor barnstar for the small, but important fix to the headings on the Franklin, Virginia article. That small change did not go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated! Keep up the good work. Chris Kreider 00:11, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
The Original Barnstar
For cranking out almost 90 articles, your work on various projects, and for using a cool blue user page template that I stole for myself, take this and save it in case you ever inherit a barn. Keep the faith. -- HouseOfScandal 12:40, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Movie Quote of the Week

For the week starting Monday, December 18, 2006

"No, no, no, no, no - you love me! It's a Martyn Taylor fact. Has there been a day in the last five years that we haven't talked?" - Martyn (Daniel Brocklebank)
"But you're more like a gay friend than a boyfriend." - Elizabeth Dunn (Thora Birch)
"But I'm not gay!" - Martyn
"Yeah, right!" - Rugby players jogging past

My Wikilife

My wikilife started September 16, 2005.

I joined Wikipedia because it appeals to my anal organizational tendencies. I love the idea of articles grouped by categories, everything in its place.

I also enjoy the fact that it's impossible to use Wiki and not learn something new, whether it be HTML for Wiki, Wikipolicy, or just some new bit of information contained in the pages of Wiki.

I encourage other Wikipedians to get in contact with me (User talk:Brian1979) for any reason.

Me as a Wikipedian

I have created over 80 articles.... So, yeah... Most of my contributions have been in the area of film and film actors, both creating new articles and improving existing ones. Lately I've been reverting vandalism and making small fixes to articles.

Articles I've Contributed to Significantly

My Background

My parents are from the South, both raised in Paducah, Kentucky. I am, however, firmly Northern, with the exception of living in Orange and Victoria, Texas for approxiamately two years, around the ages of four and five.

Almost all of the branches of my family tree that have been researched were in America by the early 1700s or before. Basically, half of the family settled in Massachusetts, Maryland and Rhode Island and the other half settled in Virginia and North Carolina. Ethnically, I am mostly Anglo (British and Irish); I'm also 1/16th Cherokee and a certain part Swiss and Ukranian.

Due to the fact that even my parents haven't lived in the South in 35 years, I am effectively a Northern WASP with Southern roots. I like to think I have a Southerner's charm and the WASP sensibility and intelligence.

A Little Bit About Me

I was born May 3, 1979, in Wilmington, North Carolina.

I've moved around a lot, especially as a child growing up. Most of my memorable elementary school years were spent in Geneva, Switzerland. I attended the International School of Geneva, La Grande Boissière campus.

Back in the US, I graduated from a well-respected school outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and went on to a dual-major in psychology and behavioral science at a small, private college in Delaware.

I speak both English and French fluently.

Aside from the locations mentioned above, I have lived in the following places: Aiken, South Carolina; Wilmington, Delaware; Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania; West Chester, PA; State College, Pennsylvania and Newark, Delaware.

I work in the legal profession.
