Ravindra Pratap Singh is an Indian politician. He was elected to the Lok Sabha, lower house of the Parliament of India from Amethi , Uttar Pradesh defeating Sanjay Gandhi in the 1977 Indian general election as member of the Janata Party.[1][2][3][4]

SHRI RAVINDRA PRATAP was son of late Shri Naresh Bahadur Singh born at Vijayi Mau Village, Kunda Tehsil, Pratapgarh District on 7 july 1938. C he got primery education from Gandhi Higher Secondary School, Sangipur, Pratapgarh. He did B.com from Udai Pratap College and LLB from Varanasi, Allahabad University. he was married with Smt. Nirmala Devi in February 1952. from this marriage he had 3 sons and 3daughters. By profession he was a Lawyer and agriculturist. He was associated with Jan Sangh.

Electoral politics
Sri Ravindra Singh take part in Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections 1967 and became MLA from Amethi Legislative Assembly Constituency from Bhartiya jan sangh Sri R. P. Singh (BJS) got 22022 votes and Sri B. N. S. Vaidya (INC) got 12791 Votes.
In next assembly elections he did not contested because BJS gave party ticket to Sri Raja Rananjai Singh (Raja Of Amethi) and he became MLA. in 1974 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections Sri Ravindra Pratap singh again contested from Amethi Assembly constituency and defeated by Sri Raja Rananjai Singh. Rananjai Singh (INC) got 20464 votes and Ravindra Pratap Singh (BJS) got 16882 Votes.
