PRIDE 16 was a mixed martial arts event held by the PRIDE Fighting Championships on September 24, 2001 at the Osaka Castle Hall in Japan. The fight card featured 7 fights that night. In the United States the event was marketed as "Beasts From The East", the first of two events to use that name (Pride FC 22 is Beasts From The East 2)".

The card is noted for the end of Mark "The Hammer" Coleman's six match winning streak in Pride that including winning the 2000 Grand Prix. The win gave Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira the PRIDE Heavyweight Champion title. The event is also known for a controversial split decision win by Brazilian Top Team's Ricardo Arona over Lion's Den fighter Guy Mezger. By nation the event was a great victory for Brazil as four Brazilians won their matches.

The events of September 11th noticeably affected broadcasters Stephen Quadros and Bas Rutten. Before the fights began a whole minute of silence was observed in memory of the victims.
