New article on NGAD F-47 fighter

edit

Boeing has been selected for the Air Force's new fighter today. See Boeing F-47. Thanks for any help with this. -Fnlayson (talk) 16:02, 21 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Chengdu J-36 Image

edit

It has been over four months since initial reports of the aircraft widely known as the J-36 began circulating online, along with several images of it, yet there are none in wikimedia to use. Due to the likely importance of this aircraft, we should focus on acquiring an image of it to put on the J-36 article as well as under the "China" section of the sixth gen fighter article. Newtonianpineapple (talk) 03:52, 27 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

As I mentioned on the article talk page, experience with the J-20 article says any attempt to get a NFCC image until a free one is available is doomed to fail. - The Bushranger One ping only 08:47, 27 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

RfC notice

edit

There is currently an RfC at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aviation/Style guide/Layout (Aircraft) about whether multiple variants should be covered in the specifications of aircraft articles. - ZLEA T\C 20:11, 6 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Publisher caution...

edit

Was looking up on the Lockheed XW2V-1, and came across this. I can't speak for the rest of this book - which, while the copy on Google Books is an ebook, appears to have been (originally) properly published, with an ISBN, by a reputable publisher - but the "variants" section at least is lifted, word for word, from List of Lockheed Constellation variants. Given this, I'd caution about the use of books published by "Air World" as references here. - The Bushranger One ping only 00:52, 11 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
