Submission declined on 17 August 2025 by Hammersoft (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Entries should be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources. Please rewrite your submission in a more encyclopedic format. Please make sure to avoid peacock terms that promote the subject.

Zebulon is a Norwegian doom metal band from Rogaland, formed in 2022. The group has released a two–track single and signed with Apollon Records for their debut album. Zebulon has appeared at Nordic Fest [1]and earned a spot on the New Blood Stage at Bloodstock Open Air 2025.[2][3][4]
History
editZebulon was founded in Rogaland, Norway, in 2022 by guitarist Torstein and bassist Oddmund, who had played together in various constellations for over 15 years. They were later joined by drummer Frode, guitarist Kenneth. Vocalist Kristian completed the initial lineup two months before their live debut at Vandrefestivalen in June 2023.[5]
Later in 2023, Zebulon recorded two tracks in their rehearsal space, which were mixed at Motstrøm Studio and mastered by at JM Mastering. The songs were released through Nordic Mission on 20 February 2024.
In July 2025, Zebulon signed with Apollon Records to release their debut album.[6] Recording sessions took place at Katamaran Lydstudio with engineering by Tollak Kalvatn Friestad (Skambankt), and mixing by Iver Sandøy at Solslottet Studio (Enslaved).
The band performed at Nordic Fest 2023 in Oslo, appearing alongside acts such as Wytch Hazel, Crimson Moonlight, and Morgarten.[1] In 2025, Zebulon was announced as one of the finalists in the Norwegian Metal 2 the Masses competition, earning a slot on the New Blood Stage at Bloodstock Open Air.[2] They were also highlighted by Noizze as one of the "20 Artists You Can’t Miss" at the festival.[4]
Musical style
editZebulon’s music incorporates traditional doom metal with atmospheric elements. Noizze described the band as “bringing slow-burn, classic metal inspired riffs” and noted that they “won the Norwegian M2TM finals for the opportunity to play” at Bloodstock.[4] Coverage has also emphasized their “Black Sabbath bluesy grooves and hooks, dramatic vocal howls soaked in reverb,” with lyrics addressing “sulfur, fire and doomsday.”[4] Interviews further cite influences such as Candlemass, Trouble, and early Black Sabbath.[7]
