Odd default image thumbnail size over on ga.wikipedia

edit

Hi folks. I'm an admin and bureaucrat over on the the Irish language Wikipedia. Per this discussion on our Town Hall page, it's being reported that the default thumbnail image size has been changed from 220px to 250px. Has there been a global change that we're not aware of? Or is there a config setting we can update in order to revert it? Hoping this is the best forum to inquire :) - Alison 16:42, 29 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

@TGcoa: FYI - Alison

@Alison: Hello, it was changed in April 16. Per the Tech news, "Later this week, the default thumbnail size will be increased from 220px to 250px. This changes how pages are shown in all wikis and has been requested by some communities for many years, but wasn't previously possible due to technical limitations." You can see more information in the Phabricator ticket phab:T355914. Thanks. SCP-2000 17:59, 29 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
@SCP-2000: thank you! That makes perfect sense. I'll bring this back to the community and see if we should revert it using the global config, or just move ahead. Míle buíoch / thank you! - Alison 16:32, 30 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Non disclosure agreement

edit

How can a Beurocrat in a wiki check if a user has signed the non disclosure agreement, a user that must be flagged for instance as memeber of the arbcom? Thanks a lot. Regards Pierpao (talk) 14:53, 30 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
