I realise this is a bit of an odd request and because this is a bit of a more cross-wiki case – but I believe Meta-Wiki is the best place to handle this given that Universal Code of Conduct/Coordinating Committee/Cases/2025/Spanish Wikipedia Abuse is ongoing.

Without going into too much in regards to this U4C case, this account was created 5 days ago on May 16 on the Spanish Wikivoyage, where Meruleh is an admin of. That account has since made 176 edits on eswikivoyage and was given autopatroller perms on eswikivoyage...by Meruleh herself. Now this on its own is usually a non-issue as individual wikis generally have a right to choose who they give perms to and whatnot, but given the current U4C case involving Meruleh, it does raise some eyebrows. Yesterday, Kiwumi requested a username change – which was similar to some of Meruleh's previous username rename requests. The font used on Kiwumi's userpage also matches with Meruleh's (former) signature.

I don't intend on doing anything with these results, but I believe a check would be essential given the nature of the current ongoing U4C investigation + SRUC request. I trust CUs, U4C and GRNs handle this appropriately and as such, I'll leave it there. //shb (t • c) 13:20, 21 May 2025 (UTC)

I suspect that the two accounts may be related based on some potentially duck-test like behaviour such as the very new account's participation in an ongoing U4C case at Universal Code of Conduct/Coordinating Committee/Cases/2025/Situation in Spanish Wikipedia.

Having seen Meta:Requests_for_CheckUser_information/Archives/2025#Meruleh previously and given the U4C case is running, it might be reasonable to verify this or confirm that there is indeed no sockpuppetry / meatpuppetry (which Meruleh previously has been found doing).

Discussed with the author of that PCP page, I suspect that there are some recent users whose only edits (except on user and user talk namespaces) are around the PCP, providing shenanigan comments, probably some users are registered as bypassing block of their previous accounts, it might be reasonable to verify or confirm that whether they are same or different humanic users. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 00:59, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
