Hi Meta community,
I would like to request patroller rights because although relatively rarely used, I can target drive-by vandals from one reverted edit, and when I patrol recent changes, I look for edits with tags that indicate likely vandalism. I have substantial experience using the same function on English Wikipedia as part of Twinkle.

If you cannot be trusted for your own edits to be automatically marked as patrolled, much less is the case for having the ability to mark other people's edits as patrolled (which comes with patroller). - @SHB2000, the only evidence I can think of that seems to show this is my behavior on Wikivoyage, because I use the advice given to me on Wikipedia whenever I make a mistake. Also, I have evidently grown from my power-hungry beginning, such as my ill RfA on Meta. Requests for Meta permissions with global effects like administrator obviously recommend users to have those same rights on a content project, but is the same true for ones without global effects, like patroller? User bludgeoning discussion and being unnecessarily aggressive
User:Ssr has been making the atmosphere of the already controversial and chaotic Talk:Public consultation about Wikinews needlessly hostile with their bludgeoning of arguments and general attacks against the WMF and users they disagree with. They aren’t interested in discussing the issue, they’re only interested in loudly making the same points over and over. If an admin could step in and do something it would be appreciated. - I do not see a need to take administrative action at this time, but will keep a watch on the discussion. As a procedural note (cc A09 in particular), I should note that metawiki admins can do bludgeoning blocks if necessary – it'd fall under the basic etiquette covered by Meta:Civility, as an excessive number of the same points in long replies makes resolving disputes difficult. Wuu Wikipedia
Wuu Wikipedia, a small Chinese-language Wikipedia appears to have been under the sway of a single editor since the last few years, Jason2016426. This has been noted by other editors as well [2]. I haven't reviewed the editor's other edits but those at wuu:2025年印度—巴基斯坦空战 are stunning. Beyond the obvious POV, the user has repeatedly added a debunked hoax/fake news to the article (debunked by Chinese state media itself). I raised this concern at their enwiki Talk [3] (listed as their primary Talk page) but received no reply and the user continues to edit war to have the hoax up. I cannot tell if this is a case of incompetence or deliberate disruption, nonetheless intervention is required.

Inappropriate system message in it.wikipedia.org: “erunda durnizi” and misinformation about Olga of Kyiv
Hello,
I'm reporting a serious issue encountered while attempting to edit an article on it.wikipedia.org. While making a factual correction related to Olga of Kyiv and the name of the city "Kyiv", I received an automated block message containing this phrase: erunda durnizi.
This combines a Russian word ("ерунда") and a Ukrainian one ("дурниці"), roughly meaning “nonsense” or “idiocy”, and is clearly not part of any legitimate rule description. It seems to have been inserted maliciously into the system message or block filter response.
In addition, I attempted to correct a factual inaccuracy claiming that Olga of Kyiv was born in Pskov, Russia. There is no historically confirmed birthplace for her, and stating “Pskov” reflects a non-academic, politically motivated narrative.
I request investigation into:
- Who added or modified this error message
- Whether it's visible to other users and reproducible
- Potential abuse of moderator privileges on it.wikipedia.org

Request for unblock and investigation of admin abuse on az.wikipedia
Hello,
I am Khidirzada, a long-time contributor on Azerbaijani Wikipedia with over 5,900 edits since 2019.
On July 25, 2025, I was indefinitely blocked by admin Gadir after I made a series of good-faith proposals on the Village Pump (Kənd Meydanı), including suggestions related to "Page Curation" and "Article Wizard" features already implemented on enwiki.
The admin removed my proposals labeling them “AI-generated” without any evidence, reverted all edits, deleted my request for review, and then blocked me indefinitely. I was threatened with blocking merely for proposing improvements. No clear violation of policy was ever demonstrated.
This appears to be a clear abuse of admin rights, suppression of legitimate feedback, and violation of the Universal Code of Conduct.
I request:
1. Review and reversal of the indefinite block. 2. Independent investigation into Gadir's conduct and use of admin tools. 3. Protection of contributors' right to participate and suggest improvements without fear.
I am also submitting this to the Trust & Safety Incident Report channel.

- However, I would like to kindly emphasize that this issue involves a long-standing contributor being indefinitely blocked without prior warning, discussion, or any evidence-based policy violation. It also involves the systematic removal of good-faith proposals and the suppression of editorial participation — all by a local administrator acting unilaterally.
- Therefore, I believe this is not only a matter for U4C, but also a concern relevant to broader community safety and administrator accountability, which is why I also notified the Trust & Safety Incident Reporting System.

Requesting admin attention regarding User:Adamant1, who is currently blocked on Commons for two weeks. The user has posted a series of comments on commons:User talk:Adamant1 regarding the block, including allegations of administrator abuse and personal attacks directed at the blocking admin.
More concerning is that they have now continued these attacks on Meta-Wiki by posting to the blocking admin’s talk page here:
Relevant excerpts from their 28 July 2025 comment:
- "Commons admins are their own special kind of paranoid snow flakes."
- "You're clearly into conspiracy theories though. Apparently everyone is out to get you."
- "You're clearly not capable of that level of self reflection though. Oh well. Your lose."
This behavior goes beyond civil discussion and constitutes personal attacks under the community code of conduct regarding expected behavior, especially as it appears retaliatory and continues a dispute from another project.
Admins may wish to consider whether a warning, revdel, or temporary block is appropriate to address this behavior and prevent further escalation. Thank you. — Josve05a (talk) 22:02, 28 July 2025 (UTC)

- Just to reiterate what I said on my talk page on Commons, I emailed A.Savin asking him if he'd be willing to reduce the block to a week as good faith measure because I thought it might show the U4C that he's willing to comprise. He subsequently emailed me back, went on a tirade, and accused me of black mail (which is what I was referring to when I said he's clearly into conspiracy theories btw). In know way is emailing an administrator about a block black mail. Let alone harassment. he, as well Josve05a, are just pretending to be victims as usual, when A.Savin was the one stirring the pot with how he responded to me asking him to reduce the during of the block.

- I'd love to see Josve05a or any other administrator on Commons show 1% of the concern towards bad behavior when it comes from their own that they seem to show towards me. A.Savin can literally call other users criminals, nazis, and accuse them of blackmail but you won't hear a peep out of people like Josve05a about it. - @Ajraddatz: My bad. As I assume you saw in my first comment on A.Savin's talk page I had accidently emailed him about the block through Meta instead of Commons. So it just made sense at the time to leave the message about it here. It's not like there isn't the U4C case going on that we are both involved in either. I don't see how it's "continuing the dispute" to leave a message on Meta to leave a comment on his talk page if the dispute is already occurring in the U4C case anyway. Although I have no problem not doing that if it's an issue, but then how am I suppose to know that on my end? I'd like to draw Meta admins' attention on two severe attacks by Adamant1 now in this thread:
- a) In this diff, they are accusing me to have called someone a Nazi, which is completely false. Show me a single one difflink from any Wikimedia project, where I called anyone a Nazi.
- b) Here Adamant1 violates the Privacy Policy and discloses parts of what I wrote via e-mail; I never approved to disclose my e-mails.

- @A.Savin: My apologize. Apparently I just saw you repeat the word "nazi" a couple of times and assumed you were calling someone that, not falsely accusing them of calling you one. Generally if one repeatedly accuses someone of something they shouldn't act surprised or shocked if or when they eventually get accused of it themselves. That's on you for throwing the word around without any real seriousness. You did still call a user a criminal and falsely accused me of blacking you though. Modification request to the local title blacklist
The Main Page and privacy policy pages are fully protected, so it doesn't make sense to add them to the title blacklist and prevent new/unregistered users from editing. I would recommend adding the following lines below to only to prevent new/unregistered users from editing these pages' translations:
# Semi-protect translation pages of the Main Page and the privacy policy Translations:(?:Main Page|Privacy policy)\/.+ <noedit|autoconfirmed>
