The JCT links for two-digit Interstates need to be changed from Interstate XX (New Mexico) to Interstate XX in New Mexico
editUnlike other U.S. states and territories, New Mexico uses Interstate XX (New Mexico)
instead of Interstate XX New Mexico
for 2di links. Having {{jct}} parenthetical links for two-digit Interstates is weird, unnecessary, pointless, and inconsistent. Parenthetical links is fine for three-digit Interstates (e.g. Interstate XXX (New Mexico)
). Please change the links to Interstate XX New Mexico
per consistency with U.S. Route X in New Mexico
and every 2di links for other U.S. states and territories. 2600:1700:6180:6290:40C9:362:2C6E:B703 (talk) 18:15, 31 July 2025 (UTC)
Interstate X (U.S. state)
is an older convention, but it's retained for the sake of simplicity. Most likely it's different for 3 digits because they are spurs, loops, or auxiliary interstates of the 2-digit interstate. They redirect to the correct page regardless... – The Grid (talk) 18:44, 31 July 2025 (UTC)- The parenthetical was needed in the past to keep the backend coding simpler by being overly consistent. Now that we have Lua modules, this can be changed without performance issues. I have to pop offline now, so I'll apply an update later on this evening when I'm back at my computer.
