  • So far you have edits in five projects, and you have not demonstrated active cross-wiki antivandalism work. Hello everyone. I am active in several wiki projects, first under the name User:אשמדאי and then under the current alias. I suffer from many attacks and editing cancellations of trolls, mainly from User:יעל י from many IP addresses. Every project I visit.

I have a Rolback license in the Hebrew Wikipedia and in data wikis, and this permission will help me very much to deal with it with all its vandalism.

I am aware that the scope of my wiki activity is not great, but I do not intend to use this permission for edits that are not harassment on its part. I would be very happy to receive the authorization, thank you very much. דגש חזק (talk) 12:59, 3 March 2019 (UTC)

I don't know exactly how widespread the harassment is but GR cannot be considered a solution to your issues here - please consider adapting a better strategy overall to combat the vandalism instead of seeking out more flags. Another note, judging from this IP's contribs at Wikidata it appears that you were edit warring (serious red flag IMO) and chose to report the IP a full thirty minutes after the vandalism began (another red flag). This right requires experience with properly identifying and reverting cross-wiki vandalism that is not limited to just the edits by one editor. You said you have been attacked by a user at every project you visit, however you have edits in 11 wikis total as of today, and this is not something that needs global rollback access to deal with. Prior to today you have not requested any global block or global lock regarding the said user, and the two global blocks you requested today for 185.46.77.9 and 46.19.86.113 have recent undeleted edits in roughtly 3 projects, two of which (hewiki and wikidata) you already have rollback access, the other (yiwki) you have only made one undo action, so the situation can be handled with the accesses you currently have. Hi everyone, same as my previous request in 2015, I'm volunteering for Global Sysopship to fight Vandalism and Spam, that keep happening on most Small wikis, I have the experience being a sysop from my time as temp admin on small wikis, being an admin on Indonesian Wikipedia, and for previously held this GS bits, my focus is still the same, focusing on Global South wikis (see here List of countries by regional classification) and wiki that's so obscure that nobody can speak the language, I am offering my skill and time (different time zone than most of Wikimedians), in handling small request in Steward requests/Miscellaneous. Previously I went inactive for years due to IRL problem during the final year of my undergrad study in law, right at the same time I got into accident that force me into rehabilitation so I could walk again which took most of my time, I am truly sorry for this. Hi there, Please have a look at my recent global contributions, cross activity and xWikiness, I have been actively involved in counter-vandalism works. I am an active member of SWMT, and you can find me on irc under the nick "Tulsi" or "TBhagat" in multiple Wikimedia channels including #cvn-sw. I am constantly monitoring #cvn-sw for vandalism, nonsense and clearly inappropriate pages. I've tagged hundreds of such pages with {{Delete}} template, a few examples: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8], [9], [10], [11], [12], [13], [14], [15], [16], [17], [18], [19], [20], [21], [22], [23], [24], [25], [26]. Moreover, I hold sysop and interface-admin on maiwiki and newiki.

I don't want to put the other sysops to any inconvenience by asking them to respond my delete, block request time and again. It would be more effective if i can do it on my own. I know about the scope of GS and various uses of the tool. I believe, I can make good use of this tool. Therefore, I would like to apply for GS.   • I have not reached a final decision yet. I really appreciate your SWMT work and anti-vandalism efforts, but I prefer to see more experience in crosswiki matters. I believe that you have improved a lot. I am not particularly concerned about you not having global rollback rights, but global sysop requires more experience as different wikis work differently. I am a user from Chinese Wikipedia. Since Wiki is blocked in mainland China, I have to use a proxy to edit. Unfortunately, the proxy I used is in the range of global IP block. I have got the local exemption for Chinese Wiki. However, when I want to link Zh Wiki page to the Wikidata, I cannot do this due to the global IP block on Wikidata. And it really cost me a lot of time switching on and off the proxy to finish this kind of "link to wikidata" edit. Therefore, I would like to request for IP block exemption for the convenience in edit between Chinese Wiki and Wikidata, or other wiki projects. We are running a set of bots, maintaining biomedical data on Wikidata by synchronizing with a set of wellknown public scientific databases. Our bots run on VMs at Amazon's AWS. For this to work a Global IP block exempt is needed. Other exempts have been issue for sister bots, with this request I would like ask to get the same exempt for Pathwaybot. This is a bot account that I use on Simple English Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons. When trying to use it just now on Simple English Wikipedia, I was unable to. The error message I received said "Start of block: 10:32, 27 March 2015", although I have edited with this account since that date. Granted IPBE on Simple. Likely a Dynamic IP Address for Auntof6Bot, that happened to come up and used for that blocked IP Range. As Auntof6 is an Admin on that wiki they will not be effected by that block on ip. Leaving as In Progress as this request also deals with Commons Wiki. I have been informed that the global renaming queue is getting backed up for Chinese related usernames, and the GR team need more renamers that speak the language and can judge if the requested name is in line with policy. I can also handle requests at zh:Wikipedia:更改用户名 so those who request there don't have to wait for too long. Meanwhile, I will do my best to examine if the request is made in good faith (i.e. I will check if the user is attempting to use another name to avoid scrutiny, impersonate other users, conduct sockpuppetry, make excessive renaming requests or otherwise disrupt the community). I understand that account renaming process is not taken lightly, as it consumes server resources and therefore requests should be evaluated carefully. Global editinterface and deleter for Pathoschild (renewal)

I use global editinterface and global deleter permissions to run the Synchbot service and maintain scripts crosswiki (mainly the former now). Although I'm not an active editor anymore, I run Synchbot regularly once per month to clear all queued requests. Stewards have indicated they'd rather not take over Synchbot, so I'd like to continue this work. :) —Pathoschild 16:23, 05 March 2019 (UTC)

Global editinterface for Tpt (renewal)

The editinterface right was given to me in November 2012 and renewed in 2013 and in 2014. I just got this right removed even if it has expired a long time ago. I am using it to help wikis maintain their scripts and lua modules, especially small Wikisources. I did not had much free time to do it in the mast months but I hope to get more now to keep helping. Renew global interface editor for Krenair

In my last GEI request it was unclear whether I was being granted it for one year or two years, and so it ended up being somewhere between the two in the confusion. I held these rights from July 2014 until just under a month ago. I just ran into a case where I was going to use them but found myself at a view source screen and remembered they had expired, so figured I should get around to requesting renewal. I use them to help keep gadgets compatible with MediaWiki changes, fix bugs, and generally help people with Wikimedia tech problems. I'm a MediaWiki +2er, OTRS agent, help administer Wikimedia Cloud VPS and the Beta Cluster in particular, and various other things. As you can see from my CA profile I have a non-trivial number of edits on random smaller wikis, often from the use of these rights, and though I've had less time for it in recent years than I used to, I would like to continue to have the ability contribute this way.
