Thank you for your recent contributions. Getting started on Wikipedia and creating new articles can be tricky; you might like to try creating a draft of your article in the Wikipedia draftspace or within your userspace first. Creating a draft allows you the time and space to fix any issues, make updates, and add or expand content, and with less risk of having things deleted. You can even ask for feedback on your work if you need help. Make sure that you read through the Wikipedia help pages available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. You might also like to try using the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Thank you.

![]() | This template should always be substituted (i.e., use {{subst:Uw-draftfirst}} ). Any accidental transclusions will be automatically substituted by a bot. |
![]() | Any breaking changes to this template, including moving it or nominating it for deletion, must be communicated in advance to Twinkle's users and maintainers at Wikipedia talk:Twinkle. The standard installation of Twinkle relies on this template. Thank you. |
Usage
{{subst:Uw-draftfirst}}
{{subst:Uw-draftfirst|Article}}
references a specific article{{subst:Uw-draftfirst|Article|Additional text}}
adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you"{{subst:Uw-draftfirst||Additional text}}
or{{subst:Uw-draftfirst|2=Additional text}}
also adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you", but doesn't link a page as specified by the article.
Please remember to substitute the template using {{subst:Uw-draftfirst}}
rather than {{Uw-draftfirst}}
.
To give greater detail to your message, you may add the article and some additional text to the end of the template. If such article or additional text includes a URL or anything which includes an equal sign ("="), it may break the parser's function unless you prefix the article or the text with a named template parameter. Use 1=
if the article contains an equals sign and use 2=
if the additional text contains an equals sign (such as a URL).
