Description of suggested change: Following page move of Scotland national football team, could the template be update to link to Scotland men's national football team similar to how it has been done with United States? I believe that adding the text I've indicated below would be sufficient.
|link alias-football = Scotland {{{mw|men's}}} national {{{age|}}} football team
Please note: This has happened to all European teams following this discussion and at least one page has become a disambiguation page. Change the one singular 1542 alias to two separate ones called light and dark instead.

Partly completed: the dark flag alias was added, and the light flag supplanted the "traditional" for the 1542 alias. This was done so that existing links to {{flag|Scotland|1542}}and similar will not be broken. P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 11:53, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
