Smoking Snakes is a Swedish sleaze metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 2022.[1][2][3]

The band was founded by vocalist and guitarist Brett Martin and bassist Andy Delarge. Drummer Mackey Gee joined in 2024, followed by lead guitarist Rob Raw in 2025.[4]

Smoking Snakes released their debut EP Restless & Wild in 2023 and their first full-length album, Danger Zone, in 2024 through Frontiers Records.[5] Their style blends sleaze metal, glam metal, and melodic hard rock.[6]

History

edit

The band formed in Gothenburg in 2022, originally including Brett Martin, Andy Delarge, drummer Stan Ricci, and guitarist Riley Rich.[1] Multiple guitarists rotated through before Rob Raw joined in 2025, while Mackey Gee became the drummer in 2024.[4]

The debut EP Restless & Wild (2023) drew attention in the European sleaze and hard rock scene. Danger Zone (2024) followed, with singles including "Excited" and "There Is No Tomorrow".[7]

Musical style
