CoStar Group subsidiaries

Hi InfiniteNexus, I've suggested further updates in an effort to keep the CoStar Group page relevant. As you have worked to improve the article, I'd appreciate you looking this over. Thank you very much for your time. Hbensur (talk) 22:14, 7 January 2025 (UTC)

Social media influencer

It has come to my attention based on discussion at Talk:Social_media_influencer#Article_name, that consensus was not properly formed for the page name. In order to follow procedure with a WP:RM, the page needs to sit at its original ___location prior to the conflict. Can you move the page back so that I can properly open a WP:RM.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 01:14, 8 January 2025 (UTC)

@TonyTheTiger: Thanks for the message; I've been away for a few days. I'll respond in detail over there, but if there is no opposition, then consensus is implied; I don't see any new opposition on the talk page, so I'm not sure why some are claiming consensus does not exist. Primary genre or consistency?

(diff) I usually agree with trying to keep the WP:FILMGENRE to the primary genre, but I'm not so sure that change is a good idea. You have made Bumblebee_(film) inconsistent with Transformers (film) and the other films in the series. (Also you left a Science fiction oddly capitalized mid sentence.) I would suggest reverting the change or attempting to make it consistent across the entire Transformers film series. -- 109.78.196.107 (talk) 05:55, 1 February 2025 (UTC)

Fixed – Updated all seven films, plus Transformers One. InfiniteNexus (talk) 06:44, 1 February 2025 (UTC)

User:Valddlac seems to think including secondary genres is preferable to sticking to the primary genre only. I have reverted the ones that I can, but there are two remaining you might want to revert: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Transformers:_The_Last_Knight&diff=prev&oldid=1281145466 https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Transformers:_Age_of_Extinction&diff=prev&oldid=1281145393 -- 109.79.161.105 (talk) 02:08, 19 March 2025 (UTC)

I understand trying to keep everything as simplified as possible, but I’m not seeing an issue with saying sci-fi action. Not only has it been the status quo for some time, but it’s arguably more accurate than saying just science fiction. That's not counting almost all of the reception tabs for these movies referring to it as an action film, or at the very least commenting on the franchise's many action setpieces. I am sorry for not looking into this before I made about this, but your first sentence regarding me sounds like I'm (for a lack of better word) primitive. From the past conversations I've had with you before, and how I've seen you interact with others before, you have a very condescending approach when it comes to handling users who don't see the same exact outlook as you. Valddlac (talk) 11:15, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
Please both of you two read this before making any further decision regarding editing. Not only can I back myself up regarding genres, but this has been an issue that I've had with the latter user for some time and I would like for this to be addressed. Valddlac (talk) 11:35, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
@Valddlac: I have been away for a few weeks and will look into this now. InfiniteNexus (talk) 17:14, 3 April 2025 (UTC)

Lone Star Funds updates

Hello C-178. I noticed your active Wikipedia editing and your participation in WP:Texas, so I thought I'd reach out to ask for your assistance with a a Talk page request I have made to add investment details to the article of Texas-based Lone Star Funds. The firm's investment history is extensive; I've narrowed my suggested additions to companies that have wiki articles of their own and strong sources to support inclusion. I'd be grateful for you review and implementation. Thank you, KD at LSF (talk) 10:04, 9 April 2025 (UTC)

@KD at LSF: Thanks for reaching out. I am not a participant in WikiProject Texas and have never lived in Texas, so any Texas-related articles I may have edited will have been incidental. As such, I'm afraid I won't be able to assist unless I have extra time in the future. I see you have filed a COI edit request; a volunteer should respond shortly. Orphaned non-free image File:Predator Badlands logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Predator Badlands logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of non-free use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:35, 26 April 2025 (UTC)

Articles for Creation backlog drive

Hello InfiniteNexus:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in June!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 1 month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 June 2025 through 30 June 2025.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 3200 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:25, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

RfC

I did the RfC about using "the" for disambiguation. You can see it here. The ping didn't work last time, so I thought this would be more reliable. Ladtrack (talk) 21:00, 22 May 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. FireflyBot (talk) 23:08, 25 May 2025 (UTC)

Article for Rocket Companies

Hi Infinite Nexus, I work for Rocket Companies, and am trying to create a Wikipedia article for them. I see that you're a member of WP:Companies, so I hope you'll be willing to take a look at the draft I have posted here. Would you consider moving it to main space?

Thank you, Annie13478 (talk) 10:19, 27 May 2025 (UTC)

@Annie13478: Hello, thank you for reaching out. To submit a draft for consideration, you must use the Articles for creation (AfC) process. When you are ready, type {{subst:submit}} at the top of the page and save your changes; an AfC reviewer will review your draft shortly and determine whether it is suitable for the mainspace. But first, I recommend condensing the History section into paragraphs and adding sources to the list of subsidiaries, the latter of which could also be seen as WP:INDISCRIMINATE if it's just a list without commentary. InfiniteNexus (talk) 17:20, 27 May 2025 (UTC)

Harry Potter

Hi, re: Harry Potter actors. Hi, yes I created them in the draft but did not move them to mainspace myself. So probably worth pinging someone else. Cheers G Hildreth gazzard (talk) 17:11, 29 May 2025 (UTC)

Replied at Draft:Harry Potter (TV series); please keep comments centralized there. (For the record, yes, you did create those articles in the mainspace.) InfiniteNexus (talk) 17:20, 29 May 2025 (UTC)

Arkady Volozh, computer software entrepreneur

Hi there, in April I had a discussion going with SMcCandlish regarding some updates for Arkady Volozh's page. SMcCandlish proposed new language, which looks great, but he has been very busy since our interaction. Since you are a member of WP:Technology, would you mind taking a look at the suggested language to reorganize Volozh's article and, if you agree, implementing the changes? You'll find the discussion here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Arkady_Volozh#Career_section_restructure. Thank you very much. Wikigracht (talk) 11:19, 3 June 2025 (UTC)

Behavior at AfD

Hey, @InfiniteNexus. I just wanted to swing by and say to you that saying things like Their talk page says otherwise.... still can be considered a personal attack as you are wanting to make a statement on the editor and not on the content. Next time, try to make statements relating towards the content. You are stepping close to an interaction ban with the other editor. Thanks, Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 03:03, 7 June 2025 (UTC)

@Cowboygilbert: Noted, though I will say that references to another editor's behavior is not necessarily a personal attack (especially if worded neutrally), and it was certainly not my intention. But I appreciate the word of advice. InfiniteNexus (talk) 04:08, 7 June 2025 (UTC)

I am going to second this as I was considering a similar discussion here. I have already consider collapsing parts of the AfD that had involved some of your comments, including the one already mentioned, though I am trying to refrain. I do think that the line into incivility was crossed, but I just going to hope that those discussion die down and focus can return to the AfD. Please take this to ANI if you feel like the other user is breaking their restriction. --Super Goku V (talk) 05:09, 7 June 2025 (UTC)

@Super Goku V: I agree the replies to my two original comments have spiraled out of control, sometimes veering off-topic. I stressed in the AfD that I do not think the other editor is acting in bad faith and do not think they should be disciplined for one mistake, only given a warning as I have done so. I genuinely did not anticipate the forceful reaction to my comments that noted their past behavior for context, and have addressed these concerns in my reply to RachelTensions. InfiniteNexus (talk) 05:20, 7 June 2025 (UTC)
To be a bit clearer, it isn't just your comments and it isn't just those two discussions, though yours were the most concerning to me. I will apologize for the misunderstanding of your warning. --Super Goku V (talk) 05:31, 7 June 2025 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:El Muerto (upcoming film)

Hello, InfiniteNexus. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "El Muerto".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 22:36, 23 June 2025 (UTC)

FAQ?

Hello. Is it okay if I can add the {{FAQ}} template on the talk pages of films that do not need to be renamed in their titles to retroactive titles (like Star Wars (film), Raiders of the Lost Ark, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, etc.)? ScarletViolet 13:30, 24 June 2025 (UTC)

@ScarletViolet: I don't think it's necessary, as the question does not often come up outside of RMs and the answer is fairly straightforward, but I would recommend consulting other editors' opinions on a "public" talk page rather than on my user talk page. InfiniteNexus (talk) 12:22, 25 June 2025 (UTC)

Arkady Volozh and Nebius Group

Hi InfiniteNexus, as per your request, I added the {{Edit COI}} to this request on Talk: Arkady Volozh: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Arkady_Volozh#Further_suggestions

I also want to bring your attention to my request to update Nebius Group, Volozh's AI infrastructure company. You'll find that request here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Nebius_Group#New_draft_proposal.

Thank you very much for looking at these requests Wikigracht (talk) 09:55, 24 June 2025 (UTC)

@Wikigracht: Thank you for doing that. I will look at those when I have time, but not right now as I have my hands full at the moment. Other editors might get to your requests first, now that you've added the template. InfiniteNexus (talk) 12:25, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
