This stub has been tagged as unreferenced for over 15 years. I'm pitifully afraid to do anything about this, especially a redirect, because it's a controversial topic. Can someone else please add reliable sources or send it to WP:AfD? Bearian (talk) 20:06, 18 June 2025 (UTC)
- I redirected it as ATD. Bearian (talk) 01:54, 8 August 2025 (UTC)

Assessments
editI am working on clearing out the unassessed articles category. It was about 88 when I started, got it down to 50. A lot of work needed in these articles still. Ill continue to sift thru them for assessments. Metallurgist (talk) 19:22, 10 July 2025 (UTC)

What exactly is anti-Israeli sentiment?
editWe have a category titled Category:Anti-Israeli sentiment but I have no idea what the inclusion criteria is. To be specific, is it a dislike of Israel or Israelis and is it closer to anti-Zionism or antisemitism? Charles Essie (talk) 16:31, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
Six-Day War - Operation Samson (nukes)
editAn IP requested to add details about Samson Option into the Six-Day War article and provided several sources to support their proposal. Edit requests cannot be granted without prior consensus, but the IP at the same time cannot engage in discussion. Therefore, I ask editors to comment on the proposal. B-Class reassessment request: Charles Thau
editHello, Iâd like to request a reassessment of the article Charles Thau, currently rated as C-class.
The article has undergone substantial expansion and improvement, including:
- Reliable, secondary sourcing from international and U.S. publications (e.g., *Freie Presse*, *Der Spiegel*, *The Forward*, *Military History Now*, *Milwaukee Journal*).
- A well-organized structure with clear sectioning (Early life, Partisan activity, Red Army service, Postwar, Recognition).
- Use of historical photographs with proper attribution.
- Compliance with WP:NPOV and WP:V, with personal connection declared.
I believe the article now satisfies the six B-class criteria: 1. **Well-written** 2. **Verifiable** 3. **Broad in coverage** 4. **Neutral** 5. **Stable** 6. **Illustrated**
Any feedback from reviewers is welcome. Thank you! Milwaukee911 (talk) 15:20, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
This appears to have been unsourced for years. Please add reliable sources, possibly from the Hebrew language article, as soon as possible, with everything going on. Bearian (talk) 21:34, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
Here is another article in your Project that has been unsourced for 12 years. Please add sources immediately. I appear to be the only person pushing to save your articles. Please help! Bearian (talk) 12:43, 28 July 2025 (UTC)

Population updater
editI've just realised that {{Israel populations}} was partially removed from the infoboxes of many articles, particularly the larger cities. If anyone sees it being removed in future, please could you revert and let the editor in question know that it automatically updates the population and their removal is preventing the auto-updating in future years. Cheers, Number 57 20:13, 11 August 2025 (UTC)
I warned you. This is now up for deletion. Another editor has proposed deletion without informing you all. Please find and add reliable sources immediately. Bearian (talk) 18:24, 13 August 2025 (UTC)
- Please note that the proposed method of deletion (WP:PROD) allows any editor, yourself included, to remove the deletion request within seven days of the proposal. Coining (talk) 16:47, 14 August 2025 (UTC)

Is there standing consensus/RFC on place names?
editWhile change patrolling I've been noticing a large number of new accounts making exclusively place name changes (e.g. Eilat -> Aqaba), sometimes with prolonged edit wars on pages that otherwise would not have been contentious [1],[2]. They also don't seem to be getting consistently reverted unless there is an additional more egregious edit. I've seen this a few times with other place names as well.
I'm by no means an expert on this subject, but I'm assuming that within the context of an article pertaining to Israel that this isn't necessarily an appropriate change, and it sort of seems like an end-run around contentious topic restrictions. Is there an RFC/standing consensus/well regarded essay/etc on this that I can point to in the future? Driftingdrifting (talk) 15:47, 26 August 2025 (UTC)
- Not that i'm aware of, but Eilat and Aqaba specifically are different cities. I think its usually down to what the city's common name is in Israel, as that'll usually be the common name in English too. Totalstgamer (talk) 16:02, 26 August 2025 (UTC)
- Ah, sorry that was vague of me, the editing is happening on Gulf of Aqaba not the city. It looks like both names are considered valid, which is where this is ambiguous. The changes that I am seeing are of the style: "the city of Eilat sits on the Gulf of

HOC investigation
editIt appears that the House Oversight Committee has launched an investigation relating to alleged bias in Israel/Palestine articles (https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2025/08/27/wikipedia-under-investigation-by-republicans/85855314007/). Not sure how much of an issue or how important it is. WFUMđ„đȘïž (talk) 20:18, 28 August 2025 (UTC)

The article Jonathan Gold (painter) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
The Notability issue raised is serious: this would need work to prove a notable subject. As it stands, I don't think it's encyclopedic in quality
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Bearian (talk) 23:24, 28 August 2025 (UTC)
