Re: Sharp Drop in PACE Rrs Between 553 nm and 555 nm

While you may find this post (https://forum.earthdata.nasa.gov/viewtopic.php?t=7029) useful, what I am doing is: (1) using the "pin placing tool" to specify the specific pixels you want, (2) click the "spectrum view", where you can generate the spectra for the pins you added in s...

Re: Sharp Drop in PACE Rrs Between 553 nm and 555 nm

I am not clear how your MATLAB script works but how did you get the numbers in "Rrs_band"?

Re: Sharp Drop in PACE Rrs Between 553 nm and 555 nm

Thanks Andy for the note.

Please note Rrs in the wavelength range of 588-613 nm are not generated in this L2 file.

Re: Sharp Drop in PACE Rrs Between 553 nm and 555 nm

Hi Cassandra,

This is the spectra I got from the L2 file for the pixel you provided. I didn't see the sharp drop. Please let me know for further questions.

Re: Question About RRS_443 Variability in MODIS Aqua L2 Data

Hi, The high temporal variability could be an artifact, possibly results from the atmospheric correction. This region from those two MODIS granules has a relative humidity higher than 95%, which is the upper threshold of the aerosol LUTs used for atmospheric correction. Under this situation, the aer...

Re: PACE-OCI Level-2 AOP & other OC product processing questions

Hi Sami,

(1) yes, MBAC is used for the atmospheric correction of PACE OCI.
(2) Each sensor has its own default parameters, which are used by generating the OB.DAAC ocean color products. But you can always change these paramters.

Re: support of other aer_opt options for PACE-OCI processing

Hi Zhigang, Here is the reference for aer_opt=-18, which is called MBAC atmospheric correction algorithm. https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/earth-science/articles/10.3389/feart.2019.00116/full OCI does not currently work with some of the alternate aerosol selection methods (such as MUMM), as the ...
