VIIRS-JPSS1 assessment.
It is great to have access to VIIRS-JPSS product using the oceancolor service!
Do you provide an assessment/report about it?
Thank you in adavance.

VIIRS-JPSS1 assessment.
Our calibration efforts for VIIRS-JPSS1 are very preliminary. We're monitoring it and initial analysis shows that the temporal calibration is rather stable.
We do not yet have enough high quality in situ data to perform a vicarious calibration, so the current gains are based on a cross calibration to VIIRS-SNPP.
Once we've finished our revision to the SNPP calibration, we'll take another look at JPSS1. By then there may be enough information to post an assessment...

Dear Sean,
thank you for these information. Is there already a schedule for these 2 steps?

VIIRS-JPSS1 assessment.
No. I try not to give a schedule - because it is rarely met...something always comes up to delay things.
I can say we hope to have the next multi-mission reprocessing done by this summer, so VIIRS-SNPP will be done then, freeing up time for JPSS1.
I'll offer nothing more definitive
