Can someone please tell me where the file naming conventions are for all current and old NRT files.
For instance a current one looks like:
./2021/009/PM1EPHND_NRT.A2021009.2330.061
But these file names are only in my newer directories.
I am running into a max file count issue and need to clean up the old files.

Any MODIS att/eph file with "NRT" in the name can be deleted after about a day, once the definitive attitude and ephemeris data are published. The NRT should not be used if the definitive data are available, because, well, the definitive data are...definitive.
The NRT files are in the same 5-minute granularization as the L1 data. The definitive are either in 2-hour or 24-hour chunks, so much fewer to manage.
We put our ancillary files in directories by year/day-of-year, so we can keep the count down under a thousand and avoid such issues as this
