Errors in MERRA-2 T2MWET (wet-bulb temperature)
Has anyone investigated/used the 2-m hourly wet-bulb temperature product from MERRA-2? It seems to be almost exactly the same as the 2-m dewpoint temperature (differing by no more than 2 deg C). I was hoping to use this wet-bulb product off-the-shelf, but may have to calculate it from dry-bulb temperature & dewpoint instead.

Hello. Our team has requested the name of the variable and data collection, and also a time period of interest and area that can be used to examine the data. If you have any plots you have made of the data, they would be useful as well (you can post them here).

This was observed in data collection M2T1NXSLV, looking at the T2MWET variable. It is seemingly the case everywhere, for example it could be seen in July 2021 over the contiguous US.
