Hi,
It seems laads api v2 is not working properly. Yesterday night I tried to download VNP46A1 (August/2019) H5 files with no success, I received 500 and 504 errors. Today, trying to authenticate I received error 500.

All LAADS servers are working normally at the moment. Please try again and let us know if you still cannot access data.

This are the 2 ways I use to download MODIS products. All of them hangs from "https://e4ftl01.cr.usgs.gov" server.

Early last week the USGS EROS Center completed a significant maintenance activity, after bringing the systems back up the LP DAAC was experiencing high volumes of user traffic. This is impacting data downloads for some users and causing timeouts. Thank you for letting us know you were able to successfully download your data.
