PODAAC Request for New GCMD Project Keyword

Hello,

PODAAC would like to request the following be added as a new GCMD project keyword:

Keyword: NASA-SSH

Alternate Label: NASA Sea Surface Height Products based on Radar Altimetry

Definition: Stretching back to TOPEX/Poseidon, launched in 1992, NASA has remained committed to observing the oceans from space using radar altimeter missions, built in collaboration with a wide variety of partners. Together, these missions have accumulated more than 30 years worth of observations of sea level, or sea surface height across the globe. This data set is designed to reconcile sea level observations across all of these missions to produce climate-quality data products across the globe. These products provide a consistent and precise record of sea level changes on scales from regional to global spanning more than 30 years, and will be continuously updated with the most recent observations.
