Would you please add the new instrument keyword below to the GCMD?

Short name: Surface Monitor Network

Long name: Surface Monitor Network

Hierarchy: Instruments > In Situ/Laboratory Instruments

"MAIA’s Surface Monitoring Network
To ensure accurate transformation of satellite data into near-surface PM mass concentrations, the MAIA project uses surface PM measurements as “ground truth” references. Where available, data are collected from existing PM monitoring networks operated by government agencies, research groups, and other entities. In PTAs with limited surface PM measurements, the MAIA project has strategically deployed additional PM monitors to enhance spatial coverage."

@crdowney Thank you for your keyword request. I have two follow-up questions.

• We generally try to keep the short name a shorter version. Do you have any objection to renaming the short name from 'Surface Monitor Network' to 'SMN'?

• Do you have a recommendation under 'In Situ/Laboratory Instruments' where the keyword should go? And could the keyword go under Samplers in the In Situ/Laboratory Instruments section?
