HEG website Forbidden error

I am trying to download the HDF-EOS TO GEOTIFF CONVERSION TOOL (HEG). I am linking to the HEG website from the following page:
https://hdfeos.org/software/heg.php#:~:text=HEG%20Graphical%20User%20Interface&text=file%20from%20NSIDC%20and%20you%20can%20download%20the%20file%20here.
When I click on the link, I am prompted to sign into my Earthdata account, but when I do, I get a forbidden error.

I am looking into this issue. It is possible that there are network errors causing the problem, but this is TBD.

The direct source for the downloads for the HEG tool is at this URL:

https://wiki.earthdata.nasa.gov/display/DAS/Downloads

Unfortunately, every time I have gone there today (either being logged into Earthdata already or letting it prompt me for my credentials), I have encountered a Page Not Found error. This is different from the forbidden error you describe, but I did encounter something similar as well at one point. These issues are likely related. The above page should be accessible to anyone once they log into Earthdata. One person who tested access today mentioned the page did load, but it took an unexpectedly long time to do so.

I'll add more information once I have more to share!

Hello,

I am confirming the issue is presently a permissions setting for accessing that downloads page for the HEG tool (it is on the NASA wiki). An effort is underway to restore access. I'll reply again to this post when it has been resolved.

Hi Diane,

I am also experiencing the same 403 Forbidden error when trying to access the HEG download page. I have attached a screenshot for reference. It seems like the permission issue is still ongoing.

Looking forward to any updates on when access will be restored.

Hello all,

The wiki page where the HEG tool downloads are should be accessible now!:

https://wiki.earthdata.nasa.gov/display/DAS/Downloads

The paths to this tool should all lead to the URL above. Access to that page and the download links on that page are working for me as of this morning (3/6), so hopefully this means it is working for everyone. I'm considering this solved, but please let me know if anyone is still having issues.
