GPW gridded population data access denied

For about the last three days (April 2-4) the GPWv4.11 population data usually accessible via the browser at the below URL is not available.
Opening the webpage greets the user with "You are not authorized to access this page."

Attempted on desktop (Ubuntu) Firefox, Chrome, and iOS Safari.

SEDAC data and information are not available at this time. Any information on Earthdata represents the best data and information available before March 7, 2025.

When should we expect its availability?

Same problem here: no way to access the data. It can be visualized but not downloaded on the Worldview (https://worldview.earthdata.nasa.gov) tool though, but it doesn't fulfill my purpose. The Earthdata Search tool (https://search.earthdata.nasa.gov/search) is of no use either.
This data is from before March 2025, so I don't understand the relevance of SEDAC data and info not being updated currently.

I could circle around, googling part of the URL with denied access directly: sedac-ciesin-sedac-gpwv4-popcount-r11-4.11 —> https://sedac.ciesin.columbia.edu/gpw-v411-app/?shuid=gpw-v4-population-count-rev11

If you are an R user you can also get the GPW4 (v11) data through the package 'geodata'.
