Where to find PACE SPEXone Spectral Response Functions

by anserwei » Fri May 16, 2025 5:49 pm America/New_York

Hello,

Where to find PACE SPEXone Spectral Response Functions?

Upon reviewing the NASA Ocean Color resource page (https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/resources/docs/rsr_tables/#PACE), I noticed that while various response functions are documented, the PACE SPEXone Spectral Response Functions do not appear to be included in this collection.Would it be possible for the Ocean Biology Processing Group to provide guidance on how to access these specific Spectral Response Functions? This information would be valuable for our current research involving SPEXone data analysis.

Thank you for your consideration of this request.

The SPEXone (and HARP2) spectral response function data can be downloaded from here:
https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/data/pace/characterization/

The response functions on the https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/resources/docs/rsr_tables/ page are for sensors supported by our l2gen code that is used for the generation of ocean color products. It doesn't support HARP2 or SPEXone, but we may add those sensors....since we're doing more than ocean color these days ;)

Regards,
Sean
