LP DAAC Releases VIIRS Version 2 BRDF/Albedo Model Parameter Data Products

The LP DAAC is pleased to announce the availability of the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Version 2 Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF)/ Albedo model parameter product suite. Version 2 includes data products from both the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (Suomi NPP) satellite and the NOAA-20 satellite which was previously called Joint Polar Satellite System-1 (JPSS-1).

Details on product improvements for Version 2 are provided on the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) landing pages.

A total of 178 products are included in this release. Due to the large file size, each VNP43D and VJ143D product contains just one data layer. A list of all products can be found on the LP DAAC website. Sample citations containing the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for VNP43D01 and VJ143D01 are provided below.
