Le ''Wild Card Series'' si disputano ognuna in una serie al meglio delle 3 gare, accoppiando le teste di serie n. 3 con le teste di serie n. 6 e le teste di serie n. 4 contro le teste di serie n. 5. Ogni partita delle ''Wild Card Series'' si disputano in casa della squadra con il miglior ''seed''. A queste seguono le ''Division Series'', che si disputano al meglio delle 5 gare, e le ''League Championship Series'', al meglio delle 7 gare. Per la prima volta dal 2016 non sono riusciti ad accedere alla ''Postseason'' gli [[Houston Astros]], che in precedenza erano sempre riusciti a qualificarsi consecutivamente dal 2017 al 2024. La ''Postseason'' 2025 è anche la prima edizione dal 2017 che non vede la partecipazione degli [[Atlanta Braves]], esclusi per la prima volta dalla fase finale del campionato dopo avervi partecipato per 7 stagioni consecutive (tra il 2018 e il 2024).
