List of Wikipedias
Languages: Template:List of Wikipedias/Languages
This page contains two lists of Wikipedias for various languages (actually the same list ordered in two ways). The first list, ordered by size, is the complete list of all 251. In a separate section, existing test Wikipedias are listed.
This first list gives the English and local name of each language, the language code used in the URL and the interwiki links, links to the English Wikipedia article about the language, to the project, and to the local statistics page.
The second list is ordered by local language name. For a list ordered by language name in English, see Wikipedia:Multilingual coordination.
See Special:SiteMatrix for an automatically maintained table, with one column for Wikipedia, and one row for each language; the languages are ordered by code; the local names are also given, but not the English names.
Note: just adding a link below does not suddenly spring a wiki into existence. (For information on starting a Wikipedia in a new language, please see How to start a new Wikipedia.) Currently, Wikipedia's volunteer developers are overworked and understaffed. Your patience is appreciated.
If a wiki becomes active, please do move a link to all the relevant Wikipedia pages, and help promote the effort by announcing the effort on the Wikipedia-L mailing list and perhaps also Wikimedia News.
The languages listed below are Wikipedias which have been created. Their progress should be tracked at en:Wikipedia:Multilingual statistics
All Wikipedias ordered by number of articles
The tables below can be kept up to date by ordinary users. If you feel that an update is needed, simply cut and paste the wiki syntax from this page (which is updated by script fairly regularly) into this section, overwriting the existing tables.

Notes
- The "Total" column refers to the number of pages in all namespaces, including both Articles (the official article count of each wiki) and Non-Articles (Edits history, Admins and Users pages, Images, talk pages, categories, templates)
- The "Depth" column (Edits/Articles × Non-Articles/Articles) is a rough indicator of a Wikipedia’s activity, showing how frequently its articles are updated; depths above 200 for Wikipedias below 10 000 articles are dismissed as irrelevant

Notes
- Cebuano and Lombard are composed mainly of bot-generated stubs.
- Uyghur is composed largely of image-only pages.
- Cree (Nehiyaw) has 110 articles, in both syllabic script and the Roman alphabet. This wiki has been subject to severe vandalism, making it difficult to reverse the changes.
- Inuktitut has 184 articles, only some of which are more than dictionary-like entries. All use the native script now.
- Inupiak has 72 articles, but no content other than animal images and their names. It is regularly targetted by spammers and vandals.
- Chechen contains a high amount of articles in Russian language - many of those in the actual Chechen language are inappropriate articles - either one-liners, Russian-Chechen translations or lyrics. The interface is completely in Russian language.
- Kanuri has no articles other than the main page, even though the article counter reads "3". The image counter even returns a negative result ("-1"), which is probably also a sign of brokenness.
- XiTsonga has three articles, however, these are image-only pages with no text other than the article names.
- Dzongkha is mostly troll-made pages prepared for deletion, but there are two real, albeit brief, articles.
- Español, Kanuri and Simple English are giving a negative number of images.
- Emilian-Romagnol's local language is spelled as "Emiliàn e rumagnòl".

Deprecated, moved and other
- Alsatian wiki: als – extended when having 19 persistent articles; now for Alemannic dialects in general, no change in address.
als
is the en:ISO 639-3 code for en:Tosk Albanian;gsw
is considered. - Toki Pona wiki: tokipona – Wikipedia no longer hosted by Wikimedia (now hosted by Wikia). The link on this page is not functional, the statistics meaningless.
- Klingon (tlhIngan Hol) – tlh – 62 articles – statistics – all articles - locked during Wikimedia 2005, for the twin reasons of being only a fictional language and having no community. The content has now moved to klingon.wikia.com. The link on this page is not functional, the statistics meaningless.
- Akan – ak – statistics – all articles – deprecated: Akan is now considered a family of languages. There is a Twi Wikipedia; if you'd like to write articles in another Akan language you can request a new Wikipedia.
