Yam Madar, in ebraico ים מדר? (Beit Dagan, 21 dicembre 2000), è un cestista israeliano, attualmente in forza al Fenerbahçe Beko. Madar ha iniziato la sua carriera nel 2018 firmando per l'Hapoel Tel Aviv, squadra della Ligat ha'Al, il massimo campionato israeliano, debuttando a soli 17 anni e diventando così il più giovane giocatore in tutta la storia del club. Due anni dopo vince il premio come Most Improved Player del campionato, oltre alla medaglia d'oro del campionato europeo Under-20 del 2019, venendo anche inserito nel miglior quintetto del torneo.[1]
Madar è stato scelto con la 47esima chiamata dai Boston Celtics al draft NBA del 2020.
Carriera
Club
Hapoel Tel Aviv (2018-2021)
Il 24 giugno 2018, Madar ha firmato un contratto quadriennale con l'Hapoel Tel Aviv.[2] Il 21 settembre 2018, ha debuttato in una partita del turno di qualificazione della FIBA Champions League contro lo Spirou Charleroi, giocando 15 minuti entrando dalla panchina.[3]
Il 3 luglio 2020, Madar ha fatto registrare 28 punti, record in carriera, tirando con 11 su 17 dal campo e 3 su 3 dalla lunetta, nella sconfitta per 106-105 contro il Maccabi Ashdod.[4] Nella serie dei quarti di finale contro la capolista, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Madar è stato il capocannoniere della squadra con 17,3 punti tirando con il 45% dal campo e con l'89% dai liberi, oltre a delle medie di 5,3 assist, 3,0 rimbalzi e 2,0 palle rubate. Nonostante le sue prestazioni, il Maccabi ha vinto la serie per 2-1.[5] Nell'unica vittoria dell'Hapoel della serie, Madar ha segnato 22 punti, chiudendo la partita con 8 su 16 dal campo e 5 su 5 dalla lunetta, oltre a 6 assist e 5 rimbalzi.
Il 26 luglio Madar è stato selezionato come miglior giocatore della Premier League israeliana di pallacanestro.[6] Nella stessa stagione, Madar è stato il giocatore più giovane a vincere il premo ella Premier League israeliana come Most Improved Player.[7]
Nella stagione 2020-21 di Ligat ha'Al, Madar migliora le sue statistiche, chiudendo il torneo con 17,1 punti e 5,2 assist di media, oltre a tirare con il 40,9% da tre punti.[8]
Partizan (2021–2023)
On August 18, 2021, he signed with Partizan Belgrade of the ABA League.[9] During the 2022–23 season, Madar for the first time played in EuroLeague where Partizan was eliminated from the Real Madrid in tight playoffs series. Over the season, Madar averaged 5.8 points and 1.6 assists per game. Partizan ended the 2022–23 season by lifting the ABA League championship trophy, after 3–2 score against Crvena zvezda in the Finals series.[10]
NBA draft rights
Madar was selected with the 47th overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics,[11] however he continued with Hapoel for the 2020–21 season. He played for the Celtics in the 2021 NBA summer league, scoring 8 points on 4-6 shooting in 17-minutes at his debut, a 85-83 win against the Atlanta Hawks.[12]
Fenerbahçe Beko (2023–oggi)
On July 12, 2023, Madar signed a three-year(2+1) contract with Turkish club Fenerbahçe Beko

Junior national team
In July 2018, Madar participated at the 2018 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship Division B with the Israeli Under-18 team, and averaged 11.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.[13]
In July 2019, Madar won the 2019 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship with the Israeli Under-20 team. Madar led the tournament in assists with 7.7 per game, along with 15.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.4 steals for 19.6 PIR per game, earning a spot in the All-Tournament Team, alongside his teammate Deni Avdija.[1]
Senior national team
In February 2019, Madar was named to the Israel senior national basketball team.[14]
