Giorgio Napolitano
Just to clear up any confusion I did not put in that Giorgio Napolitano is a Roman Catholic. I simply stumbled upon the article and saw that another user had previously put his religion as Catholic so I just added a link to Roman Catholicism. I would not have reverted your edit if you had mentioned in the summary that the article says he is a communist its just you said in the summary that you were changing it because 'you think he is not religious' without offering any evidence.--Tomh903 (msg) 21:13, 3 feb 2014 (CET)

I'd say yes, that could be uploaded to commoms using Commons:Template:PD-textlogo. Interestingly, it's basically the geometry behind creating a letter for a font, which is actually probably useful beyond the logo itself - but then, there's a very high chance it'll be taken from some ancient work on carving stone or font design. Metodo classico
ciao, ho letto la voce e non trovo nulla di sbagliato: vi viene descritto il metodo classico di spumantizzazione, usato per tutti gli spumanti di qualità, non solo lo Champagne. Photography coloring
This is just a brief overview, but it should be enough to get you started.
- I began by opening the image in gimp and duplicating the base layer, then turning off the copy.
- I then desaturated the original layer using the settings that maintained the most detail and contrast, in this case by clicking on Colors > Desaturate... and choosing the Average option.
- I created a new layer, set its mode to color, and -using a soft, round brush (not airbrush)- I colored in the sky with a powder blue (to get a great powder blue, click on the black palette to open the color picker box, then set blue to 255 and green to 128, then drag the saturation down to 50%). Make sure to let this paint bleed onto the ruins a bit.
- I then created a new color mode layer and painted in the ruins in a desaturated orange shade (get this color the same way as the powder blue, only by setting red to 255 and leaving blue at zero). Don't let this color bleed off the ruins at all.
- I then picked a much darker version of the sky color (all shadows should be a blend of a darker shade of the sky and the color of the object in general) by starting with the sky, turning the sturation up to 90 and turning the value down to 31.
- I created a new color layer and painted in all the shadows on the ruins with this shade, makign sure to do some blending where the shadows get lighter.
- I then created two new color layers, and painted each one in where it seemed appropriate: A brighter, richer orange for wood, and solid black for metal and a few random rocks on the ground.
- I then set the turned off copy of the original layer to color mode.
- Finally, I adjusted the opacity of each of the color layers, including the copy of the original until it looked good. Remember that in real life, there is rarely 100% saturation, so I used fairly low values for each layer, generally between 30-50%.
And that's it! By using a little artistic eye, a few real-world heuristcs and blending that with what already existed, it becomes fairly easy to colorize photos in a way that would make old-school technicolor artists drool with envy (even if it isn't quite perfect). :)
