12Go is a Singapore-registered travel technology company that provides online booking services for various modes of transport, including buses, trains, ferries, flights, vans, and rail passes. The company was founded by Singapore-based entrepreneur Alexey Abolmasov and formally registered in 2012. Its platform supports both consumer bookings and B2B applications through application programming interfaces and white-label tools.[1]
History
edit12Go was launched in 2012 by Alexey Abolmasov.[2][3] Initially operating in Bangkok, the company provided paper-based and phone-assisted ticket booking for regional bus and ferry services.[1] By 2013, it had evolved into a digital booking platform. In 2014, the company extended its coverage to additional countries in Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, and the Philippines.[4]
In February 2020, 12Go integrated its transportation search functionality into Agonda's platform through a white-label arrangement, initiating its move toward incorporation within broader travel platforms such as airline applications and online travel agencies.[2]
In 2021, 12Go entered into agreements with 6,000 operators.[2] The company also became part of the Bookaway Group, a network of ground transportation booking platforms, that year. By 2022, the company had expanded its network to 10,000 operators, covering approximately 450,000 routes across 90 countries, primarily in Asia. [2] Same year, 12Go integrated its transport operator inventory into an airline's mobile application, enabling users to book ground transportation such as buses and trains to and from airports.[5]
In 2023, Ron Hoffman was appointed CEO of 12Go.[6] Abolmasov transitioned to a non-executive role.
In 2025, 12Go began providing Japan Rail Pass bookings, which include nationwide and regional rail options such as the Hakone Free Pass, and Tokyo Subway Ticket.[7] These passes grant access to transportation networks and local points of interest, with varying validity periods and digital booking capabilities.[7]
Services
edit12Go facilitates travel bookings across more than 20 countries, working with over 16,000 transport operators. Its platform includes options for trains, buses, ferries, flights, and taxis.[8][9] The company enables users to combine multiple transport types into integrated itineraries and provides tools for agents and travel resellers through digital access points.[10] Later on, 12Go also provided travel insurance services.[8]
Operations
editAlthough incorporated in Singapore, 12Go conducts most of its operational and technical functions from Bangkok. The company employs more than 150 staff members across several countries.[11] As of 2025, its services are active in over 120 countries, including Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, India, China, Japan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, Egypt, Morocco, and New Zealand.[7][2] A significant share of transactions are conducted via mobile platforms, and customer support is provided in multiple languages.[4][10]
12Go is a subsidiary of the Travelier Group of companies.[1][6]
