Career

edit

From 2011 to 2017, Dr. Andreadis was President of the Board of Directors of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE),[9] the key representative of the tourism sector to the Greek government. SETE's membership includes 14 national associations and 500 individual enterprises, collectively representing over 50,000 enterprises and more than 350,000 employees.

He also served as President of Marketing Greece S.A., a non-profit organization promoting tourism through collaboration with public and private institutions.[10] In addition, he led INSETE (SETE Institute), which conducted industry research and workforce development programs.

From 2013 to 2016, Andreadis was a member of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Greece.[11]

Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE)

edit

During his presidency at SETE, Andreadis supported initiatives to extend the tourism season and increase visitor arrivals. International tourist arrivals in Greece rose from approximately 15.5 million in 2012 to 27.2 million in 2017.[12] Autumn tourism alone generated an estimated €3.2 billion in 2016.[13]

SETE launched initiatives such as the creation of Marketing Greece S.A.[14] and the Discovergreece.com digital platform.[15]

Sani/Ikos Group

edit

In 1995, Andreadis, along with his brother Stavros and cousin Fokion, took over Sani Resort, a family-founded enterprise. The resort grew into a group of five hotels, becoming a recognized brand in Mediterranean hospitality.[16]

In 2015, the Andreadis brothers partnered with Mathieu Guillemin and other investors to form the Sani/Ikos Group. The new venture introduced the "Unconditional Luxury" all-inclusive model, featuring Michelin-starred menus and premium amenities.[17]

As of 2024, the group operates seven beachfront resorts in Greece and Spain and has announced plans to expand to Portugal and additional Mediterranean locations by 2028.[18]

In 2023, Andreas and Stavros Andreadis received the IHIF Lifetime Achievement Award for their contributions to the hospitality industry.[19]

Personal life

edit

Andreadis has three children.
