Arnab Sharar.[1](born on 14 Nov, 2001) is Bangladeshi sports shooter. Also known as Ladif (nickname). He is the first player to achieve a quota place for Bangladesh in Shooting sport[2] by achieving silver medal[3]in Japan and directly qualified for Summer Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018.[4] He competed in the men's 10 meter air rifle event in 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games.[5] He represented Bangladesh at Youth Olympic Games, scoring 618.1 in qualification and finishing 10th[6]

Sharar[7] is also the national record holder of Bangladesh Shooting Sport in 10 meter Air Rifle event in Suzuki Air Gun Championship 2017 by scoring 599 out 600[8].[8] He breaks the previous record of MD Rabby Hasan 594 out of 600.

Early Career

Since childhood Arnab was shown very active in sports by his parents. His father (MD Alif Hossain) was also a player in his early age, he used to be a left arm fast bowler and played 2nd division league of Bangladesh. He decided that Arnab should study in BKSP. In 2014, Arnab gave trial in Cricket sport and also in Shooting sport, but fortunately he got selected in shooting not in cricket. From that a new star in shooting sports was born. At first, Arnab didn't like the sport so much. But day by day he started loving the sport. He invested a lot of money as much as he could. His family always supported him. In 2015, he got his first Bronze medal scores 572/600 in Hamidur Rahman Youth Shooting Championship.[9] Afterwards he got his first Gold Medal in 23rd Interclub Cox's Bazar in 2016.

Arnab Won several medals and right now he is the undefeatable champion in shooting sport of Bangladesh. He remains in first place in the last three years competition. He has been a national team member since 2016 till dated.
