The Boeing Model 360 was an early 1940s project by Boeing for a giant intercontinental bomber.[1]

Design and development

edit

The Model 360 had a long-span wing with a thickened center section, and two slim booms protruded from the wing holding two vertical stabilizers connected together by a rectangular horizontal stabilizer. Four piston engines were buried in the wing center section in pusher position driving four three-bladed propellers. The crew sat the wing center section, and defensive armament likely consisted of tail guns at the end of each of the booms and turrets above and below the central wing sections.[2]
