Busiinge Aggrey (born 22 May 2000) is a Ugandan entrepreneur, journalist and filmmaker. He is the founder of Abjine Media Group, a media and technology company with brands in digital publishing and cloud hosting, including **Host Darling Cloud** and **Splest**.[1][2][3] As a filmmaker, he has been referenced by The EastAfrican among young regional filmmakers.[4]
Early life and education
editAggrey was born in Kakumiro District, western Uganda.[1] According to the company’s account, he developed an interest in film and media during school and later pursued information and communications technology studies.[1]
Career
editBeginnings in film (2018–2020)
editAggrey began working in Uganda’s low-budget film scene and was involved with projects including Woman’s Fire under Vision Films Entertainment.[5]
Abjine Media Group
editIn 2020, after losing work during the COVID-19 pandemic, Aggrey created a freelance production outfit that evolved into **Abjine Media Group (AMG)**, positioned as a media and technology company.[1] AMG lists brands in digital news and cloud services, including **The Ghetto Post** (a Ugandan news site),[6] **Host Darling Cloud** (web hosting),[2] and **Splest** (a business-focused hosting/registrar brand).[3]
In 2025, AMG communications described the group’s origins and portfolio in a corporate “History” page, attributing the seed to equipment purchased after selling a YouTube channel and transitioning from film work into news and hosting services.[1]

editAggrey has written opinion pieces for Ugandan online outlets, including *Watchdog Uganda* and *Daily Express*, on politics and media topics.[7][8]
