Crypto Leaks is an anonymous publisher and media organization that went public in 2022. It has published leaked videos of various players in the cryptocurrency industry, accusing them of corruption, manipulation and fraud.[1] The organization claims to have recorded the videos themselves in sting operations, in which prominent figures have revealed information hidden from the public.[2]

In August 2022 Crypto Leaks released a video showing lawyer Kyle Roche, a founder of law firm Roche Freedman, revealing that a client, Emin Gun Sirer and Ava Labs, creator of the Avalanche blockchain platform had granted him tens of millions of dollars worth of its digital token AVAX. Further in the video, Roche admits that he had targeted rivals of Avalanche with lawsuits in order to commit market manipulation and profiteer from his stake in the company.[3] As a result, Roche was forced to resign from a number of his cases and resigned from Roche Freedman in October 2022.[4] The firm rebranded that same month as Freedman Normand Friedland.[5] Kyle Roche has claimed that the videos of him were a set up by the crypto firms against which Roche has filed class action lawsuits.[1]

In another video Crypto Leaks published video evidence showing how a key engineer from the Arkham Intelligence Platform used Binance's systems to connect customers to their private cryptocurrency addresses and clearly infringed the terms of service.[6] This data abuse caused serious concerns about privacy and security in the crypto exchange ecosystem. A dispute over breaches of securities law led to the departure of senior executive Sachin Dutta from Arkham.[7]
