Career

edit

In the late 1990s, Colucci managed singer Hugo Ferreira in the Louisville band Merge; Ferreira later teamed with former members of Days of the New to form Tantric.[2] Tantric’s self-titled debut album was released on February 13, 2001,[3] during which time Billboard reported the group was “managed by Dan Colucci of Lucci Entertainment.”[1]

In 2020, Rolling Stone profiled Colucci in connection with an article on smoking cessation, identifying him as a band manager who had worked with groups including Tantric and Saving Abel.[4] The album produced the single “Breakdown,” which topped Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart; the album went on to be certified gold.[5]
