Manwomanchild

edit

Manwomanchild is a indie rock band from Rhode Island created by David in 2008. The band's debut album was released in 14/12/2010, by West Cortez Records.

Sound

edit

The band's sound is distinctive from other bands, due to their use of instruments found by David himself, including obsuce synths, toy keyboards, vintage guitars, and also studio experimentation techniques. The band members at the moment, consists only of David, usually playing synths, guitars and bass, mostly using drum loops for the percussion tracks. The instrument setup is curious. It is not a common the use of a standard rock lineup like the one popularized by Buddy Holly, featuring: rhythm guitar, lead guitar, bass and drums. The lineup is commonly associated with his youtube videos uploads, using instruments featured in the obligatory monthly update. The tracks mainly consist of distorted guitars or basses (often basses played as a guitar), drum loops and some kind of synth, varying from the video theme. Altrought the band's relation with experimental music nowdays, their earlier works feature pretty standard setups, focusing the sounds to a punk and common indie rock side.
