Ding’an Fei is a technology investment executive and founding partner of Joffre Capital.[1] He has chaired the financial markets platform Investing.com and the Philippines-based payments company Coins.ph,[2] and has served on the board of Grindr.[3]
Early life and education
editFei earned a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College.[4]
Career
editFei began his investing career at New Enterprise Associates before joining Warburg Pincus, where he led technology, media, and telecommunications investments in Asia.[5] His work there included backing a US $64 million funding round for the retail computer vision company Trax in 2017.[6]
He co-founded Joffre Capital and oversaw its acquisition of Coins.ph, a Philippines-based cryptocurrency and payments platform, later serving as its chairman.[2] In the same period, he chaired Investing.com, directing expansion strategies that included acquisitions and the application of AI to financial content.[1][7]
Fei has served on the board of Grindr, as reported in Reuters’ coverage of the company’s change in ownership.[3] Earlier in his career, he was involved in the development of stablecoin payment infrastructure during its emergence in global cryptocurrency markets.[8]
Fei is a venture partner at SoftBank Ventures Asia.[4]
Philanthropy
editIn 2022, Joffre Capital, together with Investing.com, pledged more than US $150,000 in aid and logistical support to Ukrainian refugees.[9]
