EliseAI

edit

EliseAI (formerly known as MeetElise) is an American artificial intelligence technology company that develops conversational AI software for automating communications in the housing and healthcare industries. The company was founded in 2017 by Minna Song and Tony Stoyanov and is headquartered out of New York City.[1]

History

edit

EliseAI was founded in 2017 by Minna Song and Tony Stoyanov, two computer science graduates from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Cambridge, respectively.[2][3] EliseAI develops and sells conversational AI software to handle the majority of routine communications with apartment renters and prospects. The software can answer tenants’ questions, provide real-time information on listings, schedule and confirm property tours, send rent payment reminders, assist with lease renewals, and log maintenance requests without human intervention.[4]

In 2023, EliseAI launched a healthcare vertical to develop a product aimed at automating patient outreach, appointment scheduling, and other administrative tasks.[1]

Funding

edit

Since its founding, EliseAI has raised over $140 million in funding. In 2019, the company secured an initial seed round of $1.9 million led by Golden Seeds, with participation from real estate firms AvalonBay and Equity Residential.[5] In 2020, EliseAI raised a 6.5 million Series A led by Navitas Capital.[6] Navitas, alongside JLL Spark led EliseAI's $23.5 million Series B round.[7] In June 2023, the company raised a Series C of $35 million led by Point72 Investments.[8] Most recently, in August of 2024, EliseAI closed a $75 million Series D round, which reportedly valued the company at $1 billion.[1]
