Irene Zikusooka is a Ugandan female broadcaster and filmmaker. She pioneered female broadcasting while working at the Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UTV) as a programme controller.

Early life

She is the daughter of late Rev canon James Zikusooka and Kekulina Zikusooka.[1]

Zikusooka earned a bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Reading University and a postgraduate diploma in film and television production from the United States of America.[2]

She married Paul Martin Leta on December 23, 2000.[3]

Career

Irene Zikusooka was listed as Uganda top 50 women movers by the Daily Monitor. She chaired the Miss Tourism Uganda pageant.[4]
